Technical description of the motorised turntable sandblasting option

This special option incorporates modifications to the machine to enable sandblasting operations to be carried out in complete safety.

To process a part with a motorised turntable, the machine must be equipped with the following in addition to the standard features:

Safety shutter with sensor for switching to manual mode
Motor and motor box outside the cab
Electric sandblasting and blowing pedals for manual mode
Timer for automatic cycle start and cycle time setting, with automatic tray stop and sandblasting at the end of the cycle time.
Sensor with door interlock

The cabinet can also be fitted with a jib for multi-nozzle support. This addition requires a vacuum abrasive projection system.

Advantages of turntable automation

A motorised rotary table can be integrated into a sandblasting cabinet to improve the productivity of the impact surface treatment operation, as well as user comfort and, ultimately, the quality of the operation through improved repeatability.

The motorized table allows continuous or programmed rotation of the parts during blasting. This guarantees uniform treatment on all sides, without the need for manual handling. The result is consistent, precise and professional.

Thanks to options such as a timer or intelligent sensors, the tray can be integrated into an automatic cycle: start, blasting time, stop... All without operator intervention, which reduces errors and optimises processing times.

The operator no longer needs to manually handle heavy or bulky parts during blasting. The motorised plate handles the rotation, limiting physical effort and musculoskeletal risks for operators.

The system is coupled with safety and interlock sensors, ensuring that it is used in compliance with standards. In manual or automatic mode, the tray operates in complete safety, with total control of the cycle. A safety flap allows the handles to be obscured so that the operator's hands are not put in danger. Opening the flap immediately stops the table and the sanding process.
