ARENA BLAST sandblasting cabinets have been designed to offer the best performance for impact surface treatment. It is sometimes necessary to adapt the blasting machine to suit the user's application. Designed and manufactured in France in our workshop in the north of France, all the options and accessories for sandblasters can be adapted to certain models of cabinet. The EXPERT range offers as many options and accessories as possible. Whether you're using vacuum sandblasting, which uses the Venturi effect to project the abrasive, or overpressure sandblasting, in which the pot containing the abrasive is pressurised when the sandblasting is activated, the accessories for sandblasters will make the operator's job easier, as well as increasing the effectiveness of the sandblasting in certain cases.
There are more than 30 blasting accessories available for ARENA machines, most of which are adapted for use on manual sandblasting cabinets .
The two turntables are accessories for sandblasters specially designed and produced by ARENA teams to support and facilitate the handling of heavy workpieces. The platen allows 360° rotation in the cab in abrasive and dusty environments where abrasives are sprayed. The rotary movement of the turntable has been designed to withstand a very dusty environment and the presence of abrasives, thanks to the use of specially adapted materials. Each turntable is fitted with nylon anti-seize wheels offering excellent wear resistance.
Removable turntable Ø500 mm PL 450 .
The Ø500 mm turntable is removable and can be used to facilitate the handling of heavy parts weighing up to 250 kg or bulky parts in the sandblasting or dust removal cabinet.
Loading trolleys facilitate the entry and exit of parts to be sandblasted. They can also be loaded by overhead crane, while keeping the cab as airtight as possible.
ARENA offers 2 types of loading trolley:
The CHAR 3 reinforced loading trolley, designed for machines in the EXPERT range and dust collector machines from 1000 mm width upwards.
The rotating basket is motorised and rotated to stir the parts. The blasting nozzles - there may be just one - project the abrasive directly onto the workpieces. Thanks to the movement of the rotating basket, the sandblasting and blowing nozzles remain fixed on the jib, making it easy to adjust the direction and position of the nozzles.
Carrying out impact surface treatment operations in a rotating basket means that the operator can leave the treatment to be carried out independently and in complete safety. The rotating basket machines are all equipped with a range of blasting accessories: hose guides to prevent the hoses from becoming entangled in the basket, glove and sleeve obstruction flaps with sensors that instantly stop the basket and the blasting process when it is opened, and a main door interlock that blocks the door during blasting. The operator does not therefore need to wear any personal protection equipment, such as PPE, when sandblasting with a rotating basket.
A small-diameter nozzle is sometimes required for high-precision blasting operations. The micro-sandblasting kit designed and manufactured by ARENA enables high-precision sandblasting to be carried out. The small-diameter nozzle generates a blasting pattern of around 2 to 3 mm. This high level of precision enables the surface treatment of small parts or precise areas.
It is used, for example, to strip electronic boards, enabling components to be removed and recycled, or in the jewellery sector to perform surface treatments on jewellery.
The CR17C kit is installed in addition to the cab's original sandblasting nozzle. Combined with an integrated 3-way valve, the switch from the standard nozzle to the micro-sandblasting pencil is instantaneous. The kit includes a Ø1.7 mm tungsten carbide micro-nozzle, a tank with suction tube and flexible hoses.
This accessory for sandblasters is compatible with all vacuum and overpressure sandblasting cabinets.
It is used to fix the nozzle so that the workpiece can be handled with both hands. It is also used on machines with a rotating basket to hold the nozzles in a fixed position while the basket rotates.
Used with both vacuum and overpressure guns, it is a simple mechanical system that can be adjusted on 3 axes.
The jib can be fitted to all sandblasting and dust extraction booths.
ARENA BLAST additional dust collectors significantly increase the air suction rate in the cab. An ideal accessory for sandblasting and blowing operations that generate large volumes of dust.
Two dust collectors are available to suit ARENA BLAST cabins:
The dust collectors incorporate filter cartridges and automatic cleaning modules, each consisting of a discharge bottle and a cleaning valve. These assemblies are controlled by a pneumatic distributor, which is itself activated remotely using the machine's foot pedal.
When the pedal is depressed, the cartridges are unclogged; when the pedal is released, the other cartridges are unclogged.
The dust is collected directly in a disposable plastic bag.
These modules are fitted as standard on our SF and SF HD range of dust extraction cabins and can be adapted to our EXPERT range of sandblasting cabins.
The fruit of ARENA BLAST's research and experience, this compact, robust blasting accessory is ideal for industrial users looking for high intensity, uninterrupted blasting operations.
ARENA BLAST double pot allows continuous overpressure blasting without interruption. With conventional overpressure blasting, you have to wait several seconds for the pot to refill with abrasive before you can start blasting again.
This option is only compatible with overpressure machines in the EXPERT range (Code PF). This pressure blasting equipment requires a machine with tools that are highly resistant to abrasion.
This accessory provides better dust removal when static electricity is generated in the machine. An air ionisation system, using a built-in ion generator, ionises the air particles being blown and therefore neutralises electrostatic charges. If electrostatic charges are not eliminated, they attract dust that is difficult to remove or damage parts sensitive to electrostatic discharges.
All sandblasting and dust removal cabins are equipped with 5 µm filter cartridges. The HEPA filtration option provides a standardised level of filtration.
For clean applications or workshops that do not accept dust, ARENA BLAST can adapt its machines for HEPA filtration. These special filters guarantee 99.95% dust retention.
The opening on the side of the cab is useful for long workpieces. The side opening allows the workpiece to be processed in 2 stages, with a machine just over half the size of the workpiece. This cabinet accessory can also be used on a production line with parts guided by rails.
When purchasing a sandblasting machine or dust extraction cabin, it is important to identify the operator's needs. Investing in incomplete equipment can be costly later on, as it will require tailor-made adaptations. It is therefore important for the ARENA BLAST teams to have a good discussion with the industrialist who is going to equip himself and to offer him the right accessories for his equipment. With the right tools and the right options, the operator will be able to work efficiently and increase the machine's profitability.
At ARENA BLAST, the options and accessories developed for sandblasting or dust extraction cabinets have been designed to meet regular demand for specific applications. For example, the micro-sandblasting pencil has been in demand in the electronic board recycling and jewellery sectors. It was therefore necessary to find a small-diameter nozzle suited to this application, while maintaining the level of performance for which ARENA BLAST machines are renowned.
Investing in sandblasting accessories also helps to keep a machine in good working order. When a machine is heavily used and generates a lot of dust, the additional dust collector preserves the filter cartridge of the air/abrasive/dust flow management system and also gives the operator better visibility within the machine. An ionised air blower can also be used to evacuate residual dust and achieve the levels of cleanliness sought after by manufacturers such as those in the glass sector.
When a manufacturer equips a sandblasting machine or a dust collector, there are sometimes constraints to be respected. The size of the machine is a constraint that often comes up due to the limited space available in most workshops.
Sandblasting accessories such as loading trolleys and turntables make it easier to handle parts without taking up too much space. Side opening is also an inexpensive solution, making it possible to equip smaller machines because the parts pass through the machine.
A sandblasting accessory that is often requested from ARENA BLAST is the remote module on a trolley. This allows the suction and air/abrasive/dust flow management modules to be moved and positioned where it is most convenient for the operator and for maintenance. The pipes and hoses are designed to be longer so that they can be connected to the cab.
The accessories for ARENA BLAST sandblasting cabinets are all produced in France with a view to making them a long-term investment for manufacturers or users of sandblasting machines. When purchasing impact surface treatment equipment, this is an item that should not be overlooked, but which will pay for itself in the long term.
