SANDBLASTING WITH MOBILE EQUIPMENT

When it comes to sandblasting, there are 2 very different solutions. Sandblasting with abrasive recycling, i.e. blasting booths with handles, and sandblasting without recycling thanks to mobile sandblasting machines or airbrushing machines.

Mobile sandblasters are machines that usually work with lost abrasives. This means that the sandblasting media is in this case projected once without reuse.
Pressure airgummers have an abrasive tank that is pressurized. When the machine is switched on, the control trigger is simply pressed to release the pressure and project the abrasive onto the surface to be processed. These machines have a strong power capable of stripping any type of surface.

This type of machine is perfect for large parts that cannot be processed in a bagcab, for example a car body, or for elements that cannot be moved: door, building façade, etc.

These mobile machines are generally on wheels and remain very manoeuvrable even loaded with abrasive.
At ARENA we have 2 types of mobile sandblasters. Both project the abrasive through an overpressure system and have the same mode of operation. The smallest has an 8-litre tank of abrasive to meet most small sandblasting jobs. On our largest machine, we have added an additional 40-litre tank to increase runtime and match the processing needs of larger areas.

There are also sandblasting guns that work according to the venturi principle and are called vacuum systems. The abrasive is sucked at the bottom of the tank carriage (where the abrasive is stored) and the nozzle, thanks to a venturi effect, projects the sand onto the workpiece to be treated. Be careful, however, sandblasting guns are reserved for small additional sandblasting or airbrushing jobs.
