Description and advantages of Garnet

Garnet is a high-quality abrasive with great versatility, perfect for preparing delicate surfaces. It is made up of grains of almandine garnet, one of the hardest minerals in the world.

As a natural abrasive, silica-free, resistant and iron-free, it can be used to treat stainless steel and aluminium.

It is also the world's most popular abrasive for water jet cutting.

Water jet cutting with Garnet

Garnet abrasive waterjet cutting is a high-precision cutting method that uses a high-pressure waterjet combined with garnet abrasive particles. This technique can be used to cut a wide variety of materials, including metal, stone, glass and composites, without generating heat-affected zones.

Garnet is a highly effective natural abrasive for waterjet cutting, offering excellent hardness and density for fast, clean cutting.

It is important to choose the right abrasive for your waterjet cutting tools. The Grade 80 and 120 in our selection will meet all your waterjet cutting needs. They offer the perfect balance between cutting speed and precision cutting.
